VALUATIONS
A valuation is an appraisal of present market value.
A valuation can have many goals; the reports have to fit these goals.
In general, a short description is given of the object, as well as what it is used for.

Being a Registered Appraiser VRT means all types of valuation can be carried out.:
- pleasure craft
- house boats
- old merchant vessels
- etc.

VALUATION FOR A LOAN
In a valuation for a loan, the following are important:
The present market value
The execution value
(the execution value is the obligatory sale within 3 months value, this value is a percentage of the present market value, the percentage depends on the type of vessel and is usually between 70% and 85 % of the present market value).

TERM VALUATIONS
Term valuations are regularly used in insurance contracts. A term valuation prevents under-insurance. A total loss results in complete reimbursement of the insured sum. The valuation is valid for a certain term, usually 3 years, which can be extended. The term value can be higher than the present market value.
