PRE-PURCHASE- AND SALE SURVEYS

With a purchase survey the condition of your sail- or motor yacht is reviewed. The following points are handled.

Below waterline including: osmosis inspection,
delamination inspection,
GRP moisture, ultrasonic skin thickness measurement of
steel and aluminium, keel, rudder,
prop shaft.

Above waterline including: hull and deck joint
Deck, superstructure
and cockpit
including: construction of stanchions and equipment, hatches and windows.
Rigging including: standing- and running rigging ,
spars
Inside Hull including: construction of keel section, joints of bulkheads,
stringers and frames
Technical Fittings including: freshwater installation, toilet and black/grey water
systems, bilge systems, aircon, heating, sea cocks, anchor gear.
Gas System including: inspection of fittings on compliance with pressure
allowances.
Electrical Fittings including: wiring and fittings, electrical equipment and
instruments.
Propulsion including: engine, gearing and sea trial.
Safety and emergency
equipment
including: fire extinguishers

During the survey more than 250 points are inspected.

VFor the report we use the standard HISWA checklist.
The report includes a clear conclusion, where defects are distinguished from normal maintenance/wear and tear.
The costs for solving defects are generally on the seller’s account.
A survey takes approximately half a day.
For a complete inspection, the boat needs to be seen both in the water and ashore. The costs for lifting are generally for the buyer and are not included in the survey fee.

PART SURVEYS
It is of course possible that you have enough knowledge yourself, so that you only want a survey on certain points. This is not a problem, we do custom surveys.
